About Us
Nottinghamshire Community Foundation was launched on 20th March 2001 and is part of a rapidly growing network of 56 Community Foundations which has been active in the UK since the 1980's.
Last year Nottinghamshire Community Foundation:
- gave out grants totalling £3.2million
- worked with over 1250 organisations
- were able to give grants of between £50 and £30,000
- made more than 750 grants
- by supporting these local organisations we were able, through them, to make a difference in over 50,000 people’s lives in our community.
Our Mission Statement:
We are committed to improving the quality of life of the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by raising and managing funds for distribution in response to local needs.
By March 2007 UK Community Foundations collectively held over £150 million in endowment (funds for the future) and a year ago made grants of over £70 million.
